(+ 2 free Bonus Sessions)
 Presented by:Brian Lambert
 ASTD National Director of
Sales Development & Performance

The Program
As a workplace learning and performance professional, how well do you understand the top issues facing your organization's senior leadership team? More importantly, are you losing opportunities to connect with them and demonstrate value? Has focus on talent management caused you to forget some critical basics in other areas? How is the front-line of your organization affected by leadership development needs, employee engagement challenges, the generational-shift, and the ever-widening skills gap found in many occupations across multiple industries? How does the quest for revenue growth impact the achievement of business objectives in multiple departments? Do you have difficulty translating your high level challenges into specific actions?

Brian addresses these introspective questions in this lively and interactive session to remind us of the basic importance of business acumen and how it can help translate workplace learning solutions into tactical action. More and more, workplace learning professionals must demonstrate and quantify the business impact of their learning solutions and interventions. Brian will discuss how learning is linked to performance and how to respond to demanding requirements more easily and effectively.

You will experience tackling these multiple international challenges using a case study of one of the most important departments in any organization - the sales team. In fact, if you can crack the code with your sales organization, you might just have the key to the Training>Performance>Results links that will capture attention in the board room.

You will learn:
* The 10 "top of mind" issues for CEOs in 2008
* The top five trends shaping the workplace learning
   and performance field
* The most important skill areas for workplace learning
   and performance professionals
* How international challenges and trends apply to a
   specific case study (sales teams)
* How overcoming these challenges with the sales team
can help you gain momentum in other parts of the
   organization

Who should attend:
* Workplace Learning and Performance Professionals
* Performance consultants and coaches, particularly
