SESSION 1: Creating a Coaching Culture for Increased Performance and Engagement - Isabel Graf

Recent research shows that culture and engagement are primary concerns facing HR leaders, and strong coaching cultures are correlated with higher levels of employee engagement and stronger financial performance.

During this interactive discussion, participants will discuss the elements of a coaching culture, recent research and benchmarking results of organizations with strong coaching cultures, and the process of creating a coaching strategy that aligns with organizational goals.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the elements a coaching culture.
  • Discuss the best practices of organizations with a strong coaching culture.
  • Design a coaching culture strategy that aligns with organizational goals.

SESSION 2: The Finalized Changes to the FLSA White Collar Exemptions - Evan Gibbs 

This program will provide attendees with the latest information available on the changes recently implemented by the Department of Labor regulations covering the white-collar exemptions.

  • Understand the Department of Labor’s regulatory changes to the white-collar exemptions.
  • Learn strategies for minimizing the impact of the changes on the company’s bottom line.
  • Learn ways to implement any changes within your organization.

**Each session has been submitted for one (1) Professional Development Credit (PDC) by SHRM and one (1) HR (General) credit with the HR Certification Institute.

About the Speaker(s)

Dr. Isabel Graf is co-founder of Insights2Talent, an organizational development consulting firm. With more than 25 years of business experience, she helps organizations to identify and develop their talent through succession management processes, assessments, executive coaching, leadership development programs and learning and development workshops. 

As an external consultant and an employee, Isabel has worked with many organizations in a variety of industries: financial services, healthcare, distribution, transportation, energy, engineering, insurance, education, non-profits and public accounting. Prior to Insights2Talent, Isabel worked in several executive and consulting roles including Vice President Talent Management, CitiStreet; Assistant Vice President Talent Management, CSX Transportation; Senior Consultant, Right Management; and Performance Consultant, Merrill Lynch. Isabel has served as an instructor at various colleges. She is a former CPA, working for KPMG and publicly-held companies for 10 years in the accounting field.

Isabel has a Ph.D. in Human Resources Management, specializing in Organizational Behavior, from the University of Illinois, an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a certified professional coach, and is certified in the EQ-i2.0. Isabel has presented at several human resources conferences on leadership development and succession management.

Evan Gibbs is an attorney with Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete in the firm’s Jacksonville office. Evan is an employment litigator who has handled single and multi-plaintiff lawsuits in federal and state court under every major employment statute. Evan also routinely handles matters before state and federal administrative agencies.

With this background, Evan uses a proactive, results-driven approach to solve tough labor and employment issues, placing clients’ individual business needs at the forefront. His strategic approach emphasizes prevention and avoidance before problems ever become serious headaches for management.
