PowerPoint 2010 - a Graphic Utility?
In April, we learned about the power of PhotoShop to create graphics, and requested more. Join us for the June eSIG program! Graphics can turn an ordinary presentation into a robust learning experience. Learn practical, easy methods to create graphics for your curriculum. With a little imagination, you can create your own custom graphics and never worry about copyright issues. You just need to know how.
Overall Learning Goal:
Use PowerPoint to create custom, multi-layered graphics. Explore features such as the following:
• Layering images/graphics
• Texturing graphics
• Using gradients
• Using Picture correction tools
• Color transparency
• Remove background
• Integrating SmartArt with pictures
• New cropping tools
ASTD Competency Model
The Areas of Expertise, as defined by the ASTD Competency Model, include nine critical factors needed to be a successful workplace learning professional. This month’s eSIG event supports the Area of Expertise entitled, “Designing Learning.”
Presenter:
Kenneth Uber, MCP, is a training professional with more than 13 years in curriculum development of classroom and online training programs. He has a long history in software curriculum design, website design, Flash, and Access Database platforms and the development of E-learning environments.
Ken holds a BS from Excelsior College. Ken completed 20 years in the U.S. Navy where he earned Master Trainer certification. Ken was also the office manager and teacher for a local private High School.
Currently, Ken develops and delivers custom Microsoft Office instructor led courses and develops MS Office E-learning courses for Landstar®.
