Featured Presenter: Kathy Kanter
Kathy is a Corporate Trainer and Apology Coach. She conducts
presentations and workshops that raise business awareness
about the value of apologies. She emphasizes the importance
of saying “I’m sorry” in the right way, at the right time. Kathy
teaches proper acknowledgement and validation techniques that
can de-escalate damaging situations, strengthen interpersonal
skills, and improve relationships. Kathy works with managers,
supervisors, and front-line staff to recognize key frustration
indicators for customers and employees, connecting the
importance of making amends to bottom line results.

Kathy is a Certified Staffing Professional with over 22 years of
experience in the staffing industry. She has worked for
independent, regional and national staffing firms throughout her
career, spending the last 14 years with Kelly Services as an Area
Manager and Director of Kelly Educational Staffing for Duval
County Public Schools.

Kathy served for many years as Chair of the WorkSource Advisory
Council and President of the Florida Staffing Association’s
Jacksonville chapter.

ASTD Competency Model:
The Model emphasizes: (1) foundational
competencies, or those that are important to
everyone in the field, and (2) the specific areas
of expertise (AOEs), which are the specialized
knowledge and actions required by specific
roles. This month’s program supports the
ASTD competency of “IMPROVING HUMAN
PERFORMANCE.”
