Meaning: Aligning Your Personal Strengths and Purpose to Find True Career Happiness
People who are able to tie their careers with a deeper sense of meaning and purpose tend to be happier and more fulfilled as they reach higher levels of success. Based on the research findings from McKinsey Leadership Project, participants will discuss:
- What happiness means to you
- How to identify and tap into your core strengths
- Practical process to discover and write your purpose statement
Featured Presenter:
Casey Gibson is a senior learning and development specialist for the Surgical Technologies division of Medtronic, Inc, where she is responsible for leading the internal coaching and assessment programs nationwide.
Recently she was selected to serve on the Global Medtronic Women’s Network, a cross-functional alliance dedicated to advancing and developing women at all levels of the organization.
Casey also has an executive coaching practice dedicated to helping talented female leaders thrive in their professional and personal lives. She is a contributing author at Stilettos on the Glass Ceiling, a Forbes Top 100 Career Website.
Casey received her master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Xavier University. She has over ten years of experience in leadership and career training and development. Her professional certifications include PHR (Professional in Human Resources), CPC (Certified Professional Coach), MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator), and EQ-i 2.0/EQ360 (Emotional Intelligence).
ASTD Competency Model:
The Model emphasizes: (1) foundational
competencies, or those that are important to
everyone in the field, and (2) the specific areas
of expertise (AOEs), which are the specialized
knowledge and actions required by specific
roles. This month’s program supports the
ASTD competency of “Personal Skills.”
